Assists quilters and sewers in basting together several layers of fabric or fabric and batting, only as a temporary means of holding these layers together until machine or hand stitching is completed. The quilt fasteners can be sewn over and then removed with a blunt tipped instrument. Much faster than using safety pins. Simply puncture the fabric with the needle and use the trigger to insert the fastener into the fabric to baste it.
